DuoS
DuoS is a Nintendo DS emulator for Windows. It started in 2012 and quickly looked very promising, with a dynamic recompiler and hardware-accelerated rendering alongside a software renderer.
Its developer drew on the thorough documentation from NO$GBA and on DeSmuME’s GPU core while writing it, which gave a good understanding of how the DS works and how best to emulate particular features.
This let DuoS emulate a large part of the Nintendo DS in a very short time, and with good speed.
Development appears to have stopped completely about a year after it started, leaving DuoS unfinished.
