Star Fox 64
Star Fox 64 was developed by Nintendo EAD and is the only Star Fox game released for the Nintendo 64. It is a reimagining of the original Star Fox on the SNES.
Star Fox 64 is a 3D scrolling shooter built around aerial combat, with a small amount of ground combat. Its mechanics are simple, but the way Nintendo used them made the game a critical success.
The game was later re-released on the Wii Virtual Console in 2007 and remade for the 3DS in 2011.
It was also the first game to support the Nintendo 64’s Rumble Pak, which came bundled with it. Star Fox 64 received critical acclaim and was one of the best-selling games of 1997.
In 2009 the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition listed it as the 45th greatest game of all time.
