Overview
TronDS is a Nintendo 3DS emulator for Windows whose development has ended. It was one of three early 3DS emulators that started around the same time. Of the three, TronDS made the least progress towards running commercial games, but it handled homebrew well.
Its features included an ARM9/ARM11 interpreter for the 3DS application core (the processor core dedicated to running user applications), high-level emulation of the 3DS operating system to support userland applications, basic framebuffer rendering and an ARM11 debugger.
TronDS has long since stopped development, and 3DS emulation work has since centred on Citra and the forks that followed it.
