About the Game
Shovel Knight is a 2D action platformer developed and published by Yacht Club Games, first released in 2014 and on the PlayStation Vita in 2015. Made in the style of NES games, it follows Shovel Knight on a quest against the Enchantress and her Order of No Quarter to find his lost partner, Shield Knight.
Its shovel works as a sword and a pogo stick, and dying drops some of the player’s treasure, which can be won back. Later updates added the Plague of Shadows, Specter of Torment and King of Cards campaigns.
