Bloodborne
Released: 2015
Console: PlayStation 4
Developer: FromSoftware

Bloodborne is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 in 2015. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, it sends a hunter into Yharnam, a Gothic city overrun by a beast plague, to survive the night of the hunt and uncover the truth behind it.

Combat rewards aggression rather than the shield-based caution of the Souls games: health lost to a hit can be won back by striking back quickly, trick weapons change form mid-combo, and a firearm in the off hand interrupts enemy attacks. The Old Hunters expansion followed in 2015. The game never got an official PC or PS5 release.

Two community ports run the game natively on PC: one for Windows and one for Linux and the Steam Deck. Both need version 1.09 of the game dumped from your own console.
