3SXW
What you need: Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike or Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for the PS2, as an ISO dumped from your own disc (only its `SF33RD.AFS` file is used).
3SXW is a hard fork of 3SX, the native PC port of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike built from a decompilation of the PlayStation 2 version. It has builds for Windows, Linux (x86-64) and macOS, though the author tests only on Windows.
The fork fixes memory card saves and replays, keeps every file it writes in its own folder so the whole game is portable, and adds a separate configuration app, sf3config, for display, frame timing (arcade or PS2) and other settings. It also has optional scanlines and 16:9 bezels, and Gill is playable from the start.
The download contains no game data. It needs Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike or Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for the PS2, dumped from your own disc.
How to set it up
- Download the build for your system: the zip for Windows, the tar.gz for Linux or the
.dmgfor macOS. - Extract it and run
SF3.exefrom thebinfolder on Windows. - When asked, select your PS2 ISO so the game can extract
SF33RD.AFS, or copy that file into theresourcesfolder yourself. - Run
sf3config.exeto change display, frame timing, bezel and scanline settings.
