What you need: Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike or Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for the PS2, as an ISO dumped from your own disc (only its `SF33RD.AFS` file is used).

3SX is a native PC port of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike for Windows, Linux and macOS, with Linux builds for x86-64 and ARM64. It continues 3s-decomp, a matching decompilation of the PlayStation 2 version, so it is C code running directly on the machine rather than a recompilation or an emulator.

Online play uses GekkoNet for peer-to-peer rollback netcode, and the team aims to undo the balance changes the PS2 version made to the arcade game. Builds are published only as a rolling pre-release that is rebuilt as the code changes, and the project is working towards a stable 1.0.

The download contains no game data. It needs Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike or Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for the PS2, dumped from your own disc.

How to set it up

  1. Download the build for your system: the zip for Windows, the tar.gz for Linux (x86-64 or ARM64) or the .dmg for macOS.
  2. Extract it and run 3sx from the bin folder (3sx.exe on Windows).
  3. Follow the startup wizard and select your PS2 ISO, or copy THIRD/SF33RD.AFS from the disc into the resources folder yourself.
  4. Optionally edit the config file to change display and control settings.
