Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike – Fight for the Future is a 2D fighting game developed and published by Capcom, released in arcades on the CPS-3 board in 1999. It was the third and final version of Street Fighter III, adding Chun-Li, Makoto, Q, Twelve and Remy to the roster.
Its parry system, which lets a player deflect an attack by tapping towards it at the right moment, gives it a reputation as one of the most technical fighting games, and it is still played competitively. It came to the Dreamcast in 2000 and to the PlayStation 2 in 2004, on its own in Japan and as part of Street Fighter Anniversary Collection in the West.
Two native PC ports come from a decompilation of the PS2 version: 3SX and its fork 3SXW.
