Gran Turismo 4 is a racing simulator developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2, released in Japan in December 2004 and in North America and Europe early in 2005. It became one of the best-selling games on the console.

Its GT Mode is a long career in which the player earns licenses, buys and tunes cars and enters championships. More than 700 cars from about 80 manufacturers race on around 50 tracks, among them the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Circuit de la Sarthe and real city circuits. It was the first game in the series with a Photo Mode for shooting cars in races and at scenic locations, and it ran at 1080i on the televisions that supported it.

A native PC port of the US release, made by static recompilation, runs on Windows.
