Def Jam Vendetta is a wrestling game developed by AKI Corporation, the studio behind WWF No Mercy, with EA Canada, and published by EA Sports Big for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube in 2003. Its cast mixes original street fighters with Def Jam artists such as DMX, Method Man, Ludacris and Redman.

In its story mode the player fights through an underground league run by the crime boss D-Mob to win back a friend’s freedom, unlocking new fighters and arenas along the way. Matches use AKI’s grapple-based system, with a Blazin’ meter that unlocks a signature finishing move, and support up to four players.

It was followed by Def Jam: Fight for NY in 2004. A native PC port of the PS2 version, recompiled on the player’s own PC, runs on Windows.
