# PS2emu

PS2emu is a very basic PS2 emulator developed by three emulator developers: Roor, who made AndriPSX, shunt and scar_t. It never got enough development time to become more than an experiment.

It was used to trial several techniques for emulating the PS2 faster than other emulators of the time. However, the dynamic recompiler in its only alpha release was only about 10% complete. It was a good proof of concept, but development never gained momentum and there was never another release.

There were signs that Roor might return to finish the emulator, but he seems to have disappeared again.

Note: PS2emu requires a PS2 BIOS dumped from your own console. It also needs plugins, which are not included in the download.
