Wipeout XL
Wipeout XL, released in Europe as Wipeout 2097, is a futuristic racing game developed and published by Psygnosis for the PlayStation in 1996.
Players race anti-gravity craft for rival teams on tracks set in 2097, picking up weapons and speed boosts. It improved the first game’s handling, added an energy shield, and its electronic soundtrack and design by The Designers Republic made it a symbol of the PlayStation’s image.
Wipeout XL has a native PC port made by static recompilation.
