Wild 9
Wild 9 is a 2.5D action platform game developed by Shiny Entertainment and published by Interplay for the PlayStation in 1998. Wex Major and his team of misfits, the Wild 9, fight the tyrant Karn in a distant galaxy.
Wex’s main weapon is the Rig, an energy beam that picks up enemies and objects so they can be thrown, smashed or dropped into hazards. The levels mix side-scrolling platforming with vehicle stages.
A native PC port made by static recompilation is available as a build kit.
