Overview
Widescreen
Toy Story 2 Recomp is a native port of Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! for Windows and macOS (Intel), made by static recompilation with PSXRecomp and the recomp-ui launcher.
It has a software renderer and an OpenGL renderer, 2x to 4x supersampling, memory card saves and an experimental 16:9 widescreen mode. Areas you visit are converted to native code as you play and reused on later launches.
It is an alpha pre-release. The game is playable from boot, but there are known crashes and the intro video does not work yet. The download contains no game data. It needs Toy Story 2 (USA), dumped from your own disc.
How to Set It Up
- Download the zip for your system and extract it.
- Run
ToyStory2Recomp(ToyStory2Recomp.exeon Windows). A launcher opens. - Keep the built-in OpenBIOS or select a BIOS dumped from your own console, then select your disc image (pick the
.cueif you have one). - Adjust the renderer, supersampling and controller settings if you want, then start the game.
