Suikoden
Suikoden is a role-playing game developed and published by Konami for the PlayStation, released in Japan in 1995 and in the West in 1996. Loosely based on the Chinese novel Water Margin, it follows the son of an Imperial general who joins, and then leads, a rebellion against the Scarlet Moon Empire.
The player can recruit 108 characters, the Stars of Destiny, to fight, run shops or expand the rebel castle, and large army battles are fought as rock-paper-scissors contests alongside six-member turn-based fights.
A PSXRecomp build kit by Alexbeav compiles a native version of Suikoden for Windows, Linux and macOS from your own disc.
