MediEvil

MediEvil is an action adventure game developed by SCE Cambridge Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation in 1998. The sorcerer Zarok returns to Gallowmere and raises the dead, accidentally waking Sir Daniel Fortesque, a knight who in truth died in the first battle but was remembered as a hero.

Dan fights through graveyards, pumpkin fields and haunted towns with swords, clubs and crossbows, and collecting enough chalices in a level earns him a place in the Hall of Heroes. Its gothic humour led to a 2019 remake on the PlayStation 4.

A PSXRecomp build kit by Alexbeav compiles a native version of MediEvil for Windows, Linux and macOS from your own disc.
