Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy VIII is a role-playing game developed and published by Square for the PlayStation in 1999. Squall Leonhart, a student at the mercenary academy Balamb Garden, is drawn into a conflict with the sorceress Edea along with his squad.
It replaced the series’ usual magic system with the Junction system, in which magic is drawn from enemies and attached to character stats, and added the card game Triple Triad. It was the first Final Fantasy with realistically proportioned characters throughout.
