Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VII is a role-playing game developed and published by Square for the PlayStation in 1997. The mercenary Cloud Strife joins AVALANCHE, a group fighting the Shinra Electric Power Company, which is draining the planet’s life energy, and is drawn into a pursuit of the former soldier Sephiroth.

It was the first main Final Fantasy game with 3D characters and pre-rendered backgrounds, and it uses the Active Time Battle system with Materia, orbs that grant magic and abilities. It sold over ten million copies and is one of the most influential role-playing games ever made.

A native PC port made by static recompilation is available as a build kit.
