Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy IX is a role-playing game developed and published by Square for the PlayStation in 2000. The thief Zidane Tribal sets out to kidnap Princess Garnet of Alexandria, only to find that she wants to escape, and the pair are soon caught up in a war started by her mother, Queen Brahne.
It returned the series to a medieval fantasy setting and stylised characters, with four-member parties, the Active Time Battle system and abilities learned from equipment. It was the last Final Fantasy made for the PlayStation.
A PSXRecomp build kit by Alexbeav compiles a native version of Final Fantasy IX for Windows, Linux and macOS from your own disc.
