Overview
Einhander Recompiled is a native port of Einhänder for Windows, Linux and macOS, made by statically recompiling the game with the PSXRecomp framework and the recomp-ui launcher. It runs on OpenBIOS, so no console BIOS is needed.
Version 0.1.3 was rebuilt on a newer version of the framework, which brings fixes for building on SteamOS and fixes game speed on high-refresh-rate screens, where the game used to run too fast.
The author asks players to test it against the previous version, as it is a fresh rebuild. The download contains no game data. It needs Einhänder (USA), dumped from your own disc.
How to Set It Up
- Download the build for your system and extract it to a folder.
- Run
Einhander_Recompiledto open the launcher. - Choose your Einhänder (USA) disc image.
- Adjust the video and controller options, then start the game. OpenBIOS is used unless you add your own BIOS.
