What you need: Disruptor (USA) as a full `.bin` or `.iso` disc image (about 607 MB), dumped from your own disc; no BIOS is needed.

Disruptor Recompiled is a native port of Disruptor for Windows, made by static recompilation with PSXRecomp. The installer builds the game on your PC from your own disc, which takes about a minute, using the bundled GCC and MinGW-w64 tools.

It runs at 60 fps at the original game speed, with true 16:9 widescreen, mouse look with WASD and mouse-wheel weapon switching, up to 4x resolution without wobbling polygons or warping textures, enlarged cutscenes and savestates on F7. The launcher has every setting, full key rebinding and a button to rebuild the game.

It is a release candidate for version 1.0. The download contains no game data. It needs Disruptor (USA), dumped from your own disc.

How to set it up

  1. Download DisruptorRecompiled-…-Setup.exe and run it. If Windows warns that the installer is unsigned, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  2. Pick your Disruptor (USA) disc image when Setup asks. If you have a .cue and a .bin, pick the .bin.
  3. Wait about a minute while Setup builds the game from your disc.
  4. Open Disruptor Recompiled from the Start menu and click PLAY DISRUPTOR.
