Dino Crisis 2 is an action game developed and published by Capcom for the PlayStation in 2000. A government research base and the surrounding town have been sent back in time, and Regina and Dylan Morton lead a rescue team into a prehistoric jungle.

It moves away from survival horror towards action: players earn Extinct Points for chaining kills and spend them on weapons, ammunition and healing items between areas.
