Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot is a platform game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1996. A bandicoot mutated by Dr. Neo Cortex escapes his captor and fights his way across three islands to rescue his girlfriend Tawna.
Most levels run into or out of the screen along a fixed path, with some side-on sections and boss fights. Crash spins and jumps through enemies and crates, collects Wumpa fruit and gathers gems for full completion.
The game sold millions of copies, started a long series and made Crash the PlayStation’s unofficial mascot.
