Overview
Widescreen
Castlevania Chronicles Recomp is a native port of Castlevania Chronicles for Windows, Linux and macOS (Apple Silicon), made by static recompilation with RecompOne, which translates the game into C#. Each package includes the .NET runtime.
It is an early development build. The first stage is playable on macOS with movement, combat, scenery, audio and pause working; later stages, saving and play on Windows and Linux have not been tested yet. An experimental widescreen mode is off by default and still shows visual corruption and pop-in.
The download contains no game data. It needs Castlevania Chronicles (USA), dumped from your own disc.
How to Set It Up
- Download the package for your system and extract it, keeping all files together.
- Windows: drag your
.cueontoPlay.cmd. macOS: openCastlevania Chronicles.appand pick your.cue. Linux: run./Play.sh '/path/to/game.cue'. - Keep the
.binfiles next to the.cuewith their original names. .NET is included, so nothing else needs installing.
