Bloody Roar Recomp
What you need: A disc image of Bloody Roar (USA, SCUS-94199), dumped from your own copy, as .cue/.bin.
Bloody Roar Recomp is a native port of Bloody Roar for Windows and Linux, made by static recompilation with mstan’s PSXRecomp and the recomp-ui launcher. It targets the USA release (SCUS-94199) and is one of a batch of PlayStation recompilations omegakatana92 published in September 2026.
The launcher selects the disc and settings, and the open-source OpenBIOS is built in, so no BIOS dump is needed; a retail BIOS can be chosen instead. The PSXRecomp runtime also offers optional enhancements such as faster loading and PGXP geometry correction.
The README says the project is not claimed to be complete or playable, and the Windows zip is a copy of the author’s build folder rather than a packaged release. The download contains no game data. It needs Bloody Roar (USA, SCUS-94199), dumped from your own disc.
How to set it up
- Download the Windows zip or the Linux AppImage.
- Extract the zip (it holds the author’s whole build folder) and run
Bloody_Roar_Recompiled.exeinside it. - In the launcher, select your disc image; a
.cuewith its.bintracks beside it is preferred. - Keep the built-in OpenBIOS selected, or browse to a BIOS dump from your own console, then start the game.
