Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is an action adventure game developed by Silicon Knights and published by Crystal Dynamics for the PlayStation in 1996. The nobleman Kain is murdered and raised as a vampire by the necromancer Mortanius, and sets out to kill the members of the Circle of Nine who guard the pillars of Nosgoth.

Seen from above, it has Kain feed on the blood of enemies and villagers to stay alive, and change into a bat, a wolf or mist to reach new areas. It began the Legacy of Kain series.
