SEGA CD PC Ports

SEGA CD PC ports run SEGA CD / Mega CD games as native programs, with no emulator. Many add things the original hardware couldn’t do, such as widescreen, high frame rates and higher resolutions.

Decompilation projects rewrite the game’s code by hand until it compiles back to the original game, which takes years but gives code that is easy to change. Recompilation projects use a tool that translates the game’s machine code automatically, which is much faster. Some recompilation downloads are kits that build the game from your disc the first time you run them.

None of these downloads include the game itself. Each one needs the game dumped from your own disc, and some also need a BIOS dumped from your own console.
