Mednafen

Mednafen is a multi-system emulator developed by the Mednafen Team and released under the GNU GPL version 2. It emulates the Sega Saturn, PlayStation, NES, SNES, Game Boy (Color), Game Boy Advance, Virtual Boy, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Game Gear and Atari Lynx, along with the PC Engine, PC-FX, Neo Geo Pocket, WonderSwan and Apple II.

It is driven from the command line: games are loaded by passing them as arguments rather than through a graphical menu. It supports save states, real-time rewinding, remappable keyboard and joystick input, netplay and lossless video recording. Its Saturn and PlayStation emulation is known for its accuracy.

Saturn emulation needs the original BIOS files, which we cannot provide, and is only included in 64-bit builds. Official builds are released for Windows in 64-bit and 32-bit versions; on other systems it is compiled from source. The latest version is 1.32.1, released in April 2024.
