Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was developed by Sega Technical Institute and released for the Mega Drive in November 1992. Sonic is joined by Tails, who follows him through the stages or can be controlled by a second player, and together they chase Dr. Robotnik to his Death Egg.
It is faster and larger than the first game, with the spin dash, Super Sonic, a split-screen versus mode and pseudo-3D half-pipe special stages. It is the best-selling Mega Drive game.
Native ports include a static recompilation of the Mega Drive game and the decompilation of the 2013 remaster.
