Sonic Blast GG Recomp

What you need: A ROM of Sonic Blast for the Game Gear, dumped from your own cartridge.

Sonic Blast GG Recomp is a native Windows port of Sonic Blast for the Game Gear, made by mstan by statically recompiling the game’s Z80 code into C, with the Game Gear video and sound emulated around it.

It is an early pre-release, started from the command line with the ROM path and a window scale, and is not yet verified through the whole game.

The author says AI tools were used heavily in making it.

The download contains no game data. It needs a Sonic Blast ROM for the Game Gear, dumped from your own cartridge.

How to set it up

1. Download the Windows zip and extract it. Keep SDL2.dll next to the executable.
2. Start it from a command prompt with the path to your ROM, for example SonicBlastGGRecomp.exe path\to\rom --window 4.
3. --window sets the window scale.
