Redream

Redream is a Sega Dreamcast emulator written by inolen. It aims to be simple to use: there is no controller setup to do and no BIOS or flash files to supply, so you add your games and play. The developer states that over 95% of the Dreamcast library can be played from start to finish.

Redream is free on Windows, macOS, Linux and the Raspberry Pi, and is also on Android through Google Play. A one-time premium upgrade, which funds development, adds high-definition rendering and multiple save state slots per game. The free version renders at the Dreamcast’s native resolution.

The last stable release, 1.5.0, is several years old, but development builds are still published regularly on the official site. Both are listed here. If you want an open source alternative with free upscaling, Flycast is the other Dreamcast emulator we recommend.
