Caprice32

Caprice32 is an Amstrad CPC emulator originally written for Windows by Ulrich Doewich. After its source was released it was ported to SDL and has since been maintained by Colin Pitrat and other contributors, who made it run on Linux and macOS as well.

It emulates the CPC 464, 664 and 6128 and the 6128 Plus, with support for disk and tape images, cartridges, snapshots and printer output. It has a built-in menu, a virtual keyboard, a debugger with a memory tool, and command line options that make it useful for testing CPC software.

Caprice32 is still maintained. Its last numbered release, 4.6.0, came out in 2020, and newer builds for Windows and macOS are published automatically from the development branch. Linux users can build it from source or get it from their distribution. It is open source under the GNU GPL version 2.
