Phoenix

Phoenix is a multi-system emulator made by a Russian team at Arts-Union, the group behind the earlier FreeDO 3DO emulator. It started as a 3DO emulator, and it is widely regarded as the most compatible 3DO emulator available, with the team claiming close to 100% compatibility.

Later versions added the ColecoVision, the Sega Master System and the Atari Jaguar. Features include hardware rendering, shader filters, support for compressed disc images, light gun and other special controllers, and input recording. A 3DO BIOS file is needed to play 3DO games.

The current version is 2.8.JAG, released in 2017, and there have been no new versions since. It runs on Windows (32-bit and 64-bit), Linux and macOS, and needs a graphics card with Shader Model 2.0. Phoenix is freeware for personal, non-commercial use.
