WiiCompiled
What you need: A clean, unmodified disc image of Mario Kart Wii (PAL, RMCP01), dumped from your own disc. Other regions are rejected.
WiiCompiled is a native port of Mario Kart Wii for Windows and Linux, made by static recompilation, with graphics drawn through Aurora. There is no emulator, interpreter or JIT at run time. The translated game is not shipped: setup runs the recompiler over your disc and compiles the result on your PC, a one-time step that needs about 20 GB of free space.
It adds frame interpolation for high-refresh displays, any window shape and aspect ratio, high internal resolutions and an F10 settings bar with controller mapping, Dolphin-style input expressions and volume controls. Real Wii Remotes work over Bluetooth, the official GameCube adapter is supported, and the Retro Rewind mod can be built as its own version. The authors say physics match the original exactly, shown by in-game ghost replays. They say AI coding tools were used in making it.
The authors call it playable but not finished, with compatibility, rendering, networking and performance still being worked on. The download contains no game data. It needs a clean PAL copy of Mario Kart Wii (RMCP01), dumped from your own disc.
