Astral Chain is an action game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Nintendo for the Switch in 2019. In the year 2078 the last city of humanity, the Ark, is invaded by creatures from another dimension, the Astral Plane. The player is a rookie in Neuron, a special police task force whose officers fight alongside captured creatures called Legions, bound to them by an energy chain.

Combat has the player control the officer and the Legion at once, using the chain to bind, trip and pull enemies. Between fights, cases are solved by investigating crime scenes, questioning people and patrolling the city.
