The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a top-down action adventure developed and published by Nintendo for the Super NES, released in Japan in 1991 and in North America and Europe in 1992. Link sets out to rescue Princess Zelda from the wizard Agahnim and discovers a second, corrupted version of Hyrule called the Dark World.
The game moves between the two worlds with the Magic Mirror and fills its dungeons with items such as the Hookshot, the Pegasus Boots and the Master Sword. It set the pattern for most of the Zelda games that followed.
