What you need: A ROM of International Superstar Soccer Deluxe (USA), dumped from your own cartridge.

ISSD Native is a native port of International Superstar Soccer Deluxe for Windows and Android, made by static recompilation of the game’s 65816 code to C. The author reports all of the game’s subroutines recompiled, with the asset decompression and sound-command code rewritten in C.

It adds true widescreen at 16:10, 16:9 and 21:9 that fills the extra space with real pitch and stadium, no sprite limit, a CRT scanline filter, an in-game pause menu, quick saves, a modern controller layout and touch controls on Android. A mod system loads team packs with new names, kits and flags. The author describes it as an AI-driven project.

Releases are marked as pre-releases. The download contains no game data. It needs International Superstar Soccer Deluxe (USA), dumped from your own cartridge.

How to set it up

1. Download the Windows zip or the Android APK.
2. Windows: extract the zip and run ISSDNative.exe. Android: install the APK.
3. Pick your ROM when asked, or set rom_path in issd_native.cfg.
4. Optional: put team mod packs in a mods folder next to the program.
