Gundam Wing Endless Duel Recomp
What you need: A ROM of Shin Kidou Senki Gundam W: Endless Duel (Japan), dumped from your own cartridge.
Gundam Wing Endless Duel Recomp is a native port of the Japan-only Gundam Wing: Endless Duel for Windows, macOS and Linux, made by static recompilation with snesrecomp. Each release is a setup pack: it holds a setup program, the recompiler, the source and portable build tools, and builds the playable game from your ROM on your own computer.
It supports two players with a controller each, rollback netplay with online matchmaking and LAN or direct IP play, an English localisation mod, opt-in 16:9 widescreen and a performance log. The author says AI tools were used heavily in making it.
The first run builds the game from your ROM and can take several minutes. Netplay requires both players to be on the same release. The packs are large, around 850 MB for Linux. The download contains no game data. It needs Shin Kidou Senki Gundam W: Endless Duel (Japan), dumped from your own cartridge.
How to set it up
- Download the setup pack for your system and extract it.
- Run
GundamWingEndlessDuelSNESRecomp.exe(or the program in the macOS or Linux folder). - Pick your ROM. The launcher generates the game’s code from it and compiles it with the bundled tools, which can take several minutes.
- When the build finishes it restarts into the game. Widescreen, English translation and netplay are set up in the launcher.
