Donkey Kong Country

Donkey Kong Country is a platform game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Super NES in 1994. King K. Rool and the Kremlings have stolen Donkey Kong’s banana hoard, and Donkey Kong and his nephew Diddy Kong set out across Donkey Kong Island to get it back.

The two Kongs are played as a tag team, and they can ride animal buddies such as Rambi the rhino and Enguarde the swordfish. Its pre-rendered 3D graphics, made on Silicon Graphics workstations, looked far beyond other SNES games at the time, and it sold more than nine million copies.
