What you need: A ROM of Yoshi's Cookie (USA), dumped from your own cartridge.

YoshisCookieRecomp is a native Windows port of Yoshi’s Cookie, made by static recompilation with mstan’s nesrecomp, which translates the game’s 6502 code into C.

The one-player puzzle mode, the two-player VS mode on one keyboard and the options screen all work, and it has save states. The author says AI tools were used heavily in making it.

The author believes it is fully playable: both modes have been played through with no difference from the Nestopia emulator used as a reference. The download contains no game data. It needs Yoshi’s Cookie (USA), dumped from your own cartridge.

How to set it up

1. Download the Windows zip and extract it.
2. Run YoshisCookieRecomp.exe and pick your ROM when asked. The path is remembered for later launches.
3. Remap keys in keybinds.ini, which is created next to the program on first run. F6 and F7 save and load states.
