Yoshi

Yoshi, released in Japan as Yoshi no Tamago, is a puzzle game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the NES and Game Boy in 1991. Enemies from Super Mario World fall in four columns, and Mario swaps the plates at the bottom to stack matching pieces and clear them.

Catching the bottom and top halves of an eggshell around other pieces hatches a Yoshi. There is a single-player game with two modes and a two-player versus mode.
