LegendOfZeldaNESRecomp
What you need: A ROM of The Legend of Zelda (USA), dumped from your own cartridge.
LegendOfZeldaNESRecomp is a native Windows port of The Legend of Zelda, made by static recompilation with mstan’s nesrecomp, which translates the game’s 6502 code into C.
It keeps battery saves in zelda.srm next to the program and has turbo and save states. Two experimental Mods present the game as a Voxel 3D diorama, either as a tabletop overworld with an adjustable camera or in first person. The author says AI tools were used heavily in making it.
The author believes it is fully playable; it has been tested through the overworld and dungeon 7 with no known issues. The download contains no game data. It needs The Legend of Zelda (USA), dumped from your own cartridge.
