WWF No Mercy: Recompiled is a native Windows port of WWF No Mercy, made by static recompilation with N64Recomp and drawn with RT64. No decompilation of the game exists, so the author built its symbol data from scratch. It is part of a family of recompiled AKI wrestling games by the same author.
It renders at high resolution with the original effects intact, supports widescreen, and has in-game menus with full keyboard and controller rebinding and defaults suited to the AKI controls. The cartridge save, with progress, unlocks and created wrestlers, is kept automatically, and rumble works.
It is a beta, and every release so far is a pre-release. Sessions with several controllers can still crash. The download contains no game data. It needs WWF No Mercy (USA) Rev 1, dumped from your own cartridge.
How to Set It Up
- Download
NoMercyRecompiled-v0.1.1-Windows.zipand extract it. - Run
NoMercyRecompiled.exe. If SmartScreen warns, choose More info, Run anyway. - On first launch click Load ROM and select your ROM. The launcher checks it and remembers it.
- Optional: put an empty
portable.txtnext to the executable to keep saves, config and the stored ROM beside it.
