Overview

WidescreenHigh Frame RateMod Support

PaperBoat is a native PC port of Paper Mario from Harbour Masters, released in September 2026. It is built from the Paper Mario decompilation.

It adds widescreen, higher resolutions and frame rates, a settings menu, custom controls and support for mods.

The download contains no Nintendo data. It asks for a ROM of the US version of the game, dumped from your own copy.

How to Set It Up

  1. Extract the whole archive to a folder you can write to.
  2. Windows: run paperboat.exe. macOS: run paperboat.app.
  3. When prompted, select your ROM.
  4. Linux: put your ROM in the same folder as paperboat.appimage, then run it (you may need to chmod +x it first).
