Overview

Widescreen 21:9High Frame Rate

Extreme-G: Recompiled is a native PC port of Extreme-G, Probe Entertainment’s futuristic motorbike racer, made with N64: Recompiled and the RT64 renderer.

It supports widescreen and ultrawide, high resolutions and much higher frame rates than the original.

The download contains no game data. It asks for a ROM dumped from your own copy of the game.

How to Set It Up

  1. Extract the whole archive to a folder you can write to.
  2. Run ExtremeGRecompiled.
  3. In the main menu, select your ROM of the US 1.0 version. Files in other formats than .z64 are converted automatically if they are the right ROM.
  4. On Steam Deck, extract the Linux build, then in Desktop Mode right-click the ExtremeGRecompiled executable and choose “Add to Steam”.
