Beetle Adventure Racing Recomp is a work-in-progress native Windows port of Beetle Adventure Racing!, made by static recompilation with N64Recomp and drawn with RT64. It continues bryankruman's original BeetleRecomp, which got the game running, and adds to it.

The game runs at 60 frames per second with keyboard and gamepad support, widescreen with a HUD that follows the wider picture, a selectable draw distance, resolution scaling, anti-aliasing and Controller Pak saves. The author says AI tools were used heavily in making it.

It is an alpha release for Windows only; a Linux build is in progress. The download contains no game data. It needs a ROM of the USA release, dumped from your own cartridge.

## How to set it up

1. Download the Windows x64 zip and extract it anywhere, keeping the `assets` folder next to the executable.
2. Run `beetle-adventure-racing-recomp.exe`.
3. On first launch choose Load ROM and select your ROM. Later launches start straight from Start Game.
