Alien Planet is a homebrew Game Boy Color game by The New Image, developed for Gambit Studios' Freedom 2001 developer competition.

All the graphics, sound and programming were done by a single developer, Patriek Lesparre.

Alien Planet is a vertical shoot-'em-up. You steer your ship with the d-pad and shoot with the B button, and Start pauses the game.

It is a well designed game with a good amount of content. The goal is to score as many points as possible before you lose all 3 lives, and it follows the classic shoot-'em-up formula of powerups and bosses you must beat to progress.
