Tetris
Tetris for the Game Boy was released by Nintendo in 1989 and came packed with the handheld in North America and Europe. Players rotate and drop tetrominoes to complete lines, in the endless A-Type mode or the B-Type mode that starts from rows of garbage.
A link cable allowed two players to send lines to each other. It sold tens of millions of copies and helped make the Game Boy a success, and its Korobeiniki theme became closely tied to the game.
Native ports include Kirpich, a reimplementation, and a static recompilation.
