What you need: A ROM of Resident Evil Gaiden (USA) for the Game Boy Color, dumped from your own cartridge.

Resident Evil Gaiden Recomp is a native Windows and Android port of Resident Evil Gaiden, the 2001 Game Boy Color game, made by sergiomanzur by statically recompiling the game's code into C.

It adds a dash, true 16:9 and 21:9 widescreen, a flashlight effect, shaders and cheats, and engines for HD texture packs and music packs. The optional HD pack in the repository is placeholder art made with AI tools. The game is playable on Windows and Android; a Linux build is still being worked on.

The download contains no game data. It needs Resident Evil Gaiden (USA), dumped from your own cartridge.

## How to set it up

1. Download the Windows zip and extract it, or install the Android APK.
2. Put your ROM, named `Resident Evil Gaiden (USA).gbc`, next to `Resident_Evil_Gaiden__USA_.exe`.
3. Run `Resident_Evil_Gaiden__USA_.exe` (or open the app on Android and choose the ROM).
4. Turn on widescreen, the flashlight, shaders and the other extras from the settings menu.
