DreamGBA is a GBA emulator created by the same team that wrote the Game Boy Color emulator DreamGBC. It has been out of development for a long time.

In its day it showed promise, running several games such as Castlevania and Tactics Ogre, and emulating their sound, which was quite a feat at the time.

Its biggest drawback was that it required the GBA BIOS to run. Dumping the BIOS from a console was not a simple task back then, and this held DreamGBA back. The BIOS is copyrighted by Nintendo, so it cannot legally be distributed. Modern emulators such as mGBA do not require it, which makes them much better choices today.
